A black and white drawing on animal skin by Iñupiaq artist George Ahgupuk (1911-2001) depicting a whale hunting umiak, nine Alaska Native men hard at work navigating through the Arctic waters searching for their prey. In the foreground, the pressure ice is rising up, indicates the first signs of spring, while overhead, Arctic birds take flight in their search for sustenance. Signed lower right by the artist, matted and framed, the piece measures approximately 16" x 17.5" overall.

A large walrus oosik, or penile bone, each end featuring a baleen band and further accented with scrimshaw walrus tusk caps. One end features a pair of polar bear heads, the other a walrus head. A few small fissures commensurate with age are evident, and the entire piece measures approximately 25" x 2" x 2.25" tall.

A historically significant drawn pencil map on brown paper done by the hand of Eustace Paul Ziegler (1881-1969), documenting his 1936 expedition alongside friend and fellow artist Ted Lambert as they journeyed from Fairbanks down the Chena, Tanana, and Yukon rivers, then across the portage to the Kuskokwim river, painting scenes along the way. Documented within Spirit of the North: The Art of Eustace Paul Ziegler by Kesler E. Woodward, pages 36 and 37. Framed, measures approximately 16.25" x 23.25" overall.

The work depicts a remote Southeast Alaska harbor scene with sailboats and figures, buildings in the distance, and all backed by the vast Alaska mountains. A stunning soapstone carving depicting an Inuit hunter in a kayak, with intricate carved details, a seal float, baleen paddle, and harpoon, all in multiple shades and colors of soapstone. Also includes a bone fish with inset baleen eye. The kayak is mounted upon a stone specimen with unfinished edges that replicate the crest of a wave. Measures approximately 18.5" x 6" x 9" tall.
